Ghmc Issues Show Cause Notice To Pradeep Constructions, Proposes Cancelling Building Permission

HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has issued a show-cause notice to M/s Pradeep Constructions and proposed cancelling the building permission for its multi-storied residential project on Raj Bhavan Road in Somajiguda.

The project includes two residential towers with two cellar levels, a stilt floor, 17 upper floors, and a clubhouse. It stands near Park Hotel and Necklace Road.

According to GHMC, reports raised serious disputes over the land on which the project was built. The civic body alleged that the developer secured the building permission by misrepresenting facts and suppressing key information.

Therefore, GHMC issued the notice under Section 450 of the GHMC Act, 1955. It has asked the developer to explain why the building permission should not be cancelled.

No Occupancy Certificate issued

Meanwhile, GHMC has kept the developer’s application for an Occupancy Certificate (OC) on hold until the proceedings conclude. The civic body also clarified that it has not issued an Occupancy Certificate for the project.

M/s Pradeep Constructions, owned by Pradeep Reddy Badvelu, developed the residential project.

However, the show-cause notice is only the beginning of the legal process. GHMC has not taken a final decision yet. The developer will have an opportunity to submit its response before the civic body decides on further action.
