Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has seized the Taj Banjara Hotel, located in Banjara Hills Road No.1, Hyderabad, due to unpaid property taxes amounting to ₹1.4 crore.

According to sources, the hotel failed to clear its tax dues for two years despite multiple notices issued by the civic authorities. The GHMC had been pursuing the matter for some time, and after receiving no response, red notices were issued, prompting the seizure.

Officials said that the hotel owes ₹1.4 crore in property taxes, and due to the management’s non-compliance with payment requests, the authorities decided to seize the premises.
