GHMC appeals proper disposal of construction debris, here is how you can do it

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) appealed to the Hyderabad residents for the proper disposal of their excess Construction and Demolition (C & D) waste through authorized agencies only.
GHMC in an official note revealed the details of its waste management plants. It said, “GHMC is operating two C&D waste Management plants, which are located at Jeedimetla and Fathullaguda with a capacity of 500 TPD (tons per day), each through private agencies as per C&D waste management Rules 2016 and one more plant is completed at Shamshabad and started trial run and another plant is under active construction stage with same capacity to meet the requirement of the city.”
How can residents dispose Construction waste safely?
The GHMC said that the residents can safely deposit at one point and raise a request in the GHMC platforms for pick up services. “Construction & Demolition Waste generators can deposit their C&D waste outside the premises at one point and raise a pickup service request through GHMC website and MyGHMC App to clear their waste through GHMC authorized C&D Waste management agencies by paying necessary User charges to the agencies.”
Further, citizens can also make use of the following toll-free numbers to avail door-step service to manage the C&D waste, said the GHMC.

Further the GHMC reminded that it is necessary to deposit waste responsible to reduce air pollution, to protect water bodies, to prevent flooding, to preserve natural resources for future generation and for sustainable Swachh Hyderabad.
