Hyderabad GHMC launches property tax resolution drive

HYDERABAD:  The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Sunday held its ‘Property Tax Resolution’ (PTP) programme across all circle offices to address property tax-related grievances of citizens.
The special drive was conducted from 10 am to 1 pm. Deputy commissioners, assistant municipal commissioners, valuation officers and tax inspectors received petitions on revision requests, correction of tax assessments, entry of payments made through bill collectors, online and RTGS modes, arrears corrections, court cases, Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) issues and self-assessment concerns.
The programme drew a strong response from residents.
A total of 285 applications were received on Sunday seeking resolution of property tax issues. Most petitions related to discrepancies in tax assessments, excess area recorded compared to actual extent, mutation matters and related issues. Officials said the applications would be resolved as per rules.
The drive will continue on March 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 10 am to 1 pm at all circle offices.
