HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has penalised Ramky agency for negligence in sanitation works.
On Monday, Khairatabad zonal commissioner Anurag Jayanti imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh on the agency. During routine inspections, the commissioner found that garbage was not cleared on time at Alijapur Road near Karwan and Jubilee Hills circles.
The uncleared garbage stretched for nearly 200 metres, creating unhygienic conditions and causing inconvenience to residents. Despite repeated instructions, the agency failed to respond, following which the penalty was imposed. The action was announced in a release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of the GHMC.
