GHMC announces Jan 31 deadline for payment of trade license fees & dues

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has announced that all commercial establishments in Hyderabad must pay their trade license fees and any outstanding dues by January 31, 2025, to avoid penalties. Payments can be made through the My GHMC App, Meeseva Centers, Citizen Service Centers, or the GHMC online portal. Businesses that have not yet registered for a trade license can do so online and must provide specific documents. Each trade license is assigned a unique Trade Identification Number (TIN) which can be found on the GHMC website or by visiting the Citizen Service Center.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on January 8, 2025, has announced that commercial establishments in Hyderabad city must pay their trade license fees and any outstanding dues by January 31, 2025, to avoid penalties.

In a statement shared on the official GHMC handle on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the civic body urged businesses to complete their payments within the deadline. The post read, “Kindly ensure payment of your Trade License fee and dues by 31st January 2025 to avoid penalties. Let’s work together to keep Hyderabad’s trade thriving and compliant. Pay now and stay ahead! 🏢✅”

The payment can be made through the My GHMC App, available for download on Google Play, or through other options like Meeseva Centers and Citizen Service Centers across Hyderabad. Payments can also be made directly through the GHMC online portal: https://onlinepayments.ghmc.gov.in/.

GHMC Trade License Registration

Business owners in Hyderabad who have not yet registered for a trade license can do so online. To apply for a trade license, the following documents are required:
1. Building Occupancy Certificate
2. Building Sanction Plan from GHMC
3. Up-to-date Property Tax Receipt
4. Rental/Sale/Lease Deed
5. Location Plans (Blue Print Copies)
6. Two Passport-size Photos

How to Find Your TIN

Each trade license is assigned a unique Trade Identification Number (TIN), which is a 12-digit number. The TIN is composed of:

• The first 3 digits represent the ward code.
• Digits 5 to 7 represent the Minor Code, indicating minor works under a major category.
• The last four digits are the serial number.

If you do not know your TIN number, you can search for it on the GHMC website, http://www.ghmc.gov.in/onlinetrade/, by entering details like your locality, circle, ward, door number, trade title, or trade type. Alternatively, you can visit the Citizen Service Center at GHMC Head Office, to inquire about your TIN.
