HYDERABAD: A couple who underwent in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment at the IVF centre of Gandhi Hospital welcomed a baby boy weighing 3.6 kg.
Couple conceives after nine years of marriage
Ravi and Soumya from Yadadri Bhuvanagiri had remained childless despite nine years of marriage. The couple had earlier undergone treatment at private fertility centres and spent several lakh rupees on 12 procedures, including ovulation induction (OI) and intrauterine insemination (IUI), but did not achieve success.
First IVF attempt succeeds at Gandhi Hospital
The couple approached the Gandhi Hospital IVF centre last year. Doctors Shobha and Fatima said the pregnancy was successful in the very first IVF attempt.
The doctors said the IVF procedure was provided free of cost.
