Gandhi Hospital Fake Job Ads Target Unemployed
HYDERABAD: Fraudsters are targeting unemployed youth by circulating fake recruitment advertisements in the name of Gandhi Hospital on social media, promising government jobs with high salaries and benefits.
The fake notifications claim that recruitment is being conducted through a “Medical Recruitment Board” for posts such as ward boy, sweeper, security guard, stretcher bearer and ambulance helper without a written examination. The advertisements promise monthly salaries ranging from ₹31,500 to ₹46,000 along with pension, health insurance and family benefits.
Fake stamps and online links used
The fraudsters allegedly used fake “Gandhi Hospital Recruitment Cell” stamps to make the advertisements appear genuine. Online application links were also circulated, asking candidates to submit forms and pay application fees.
Some notifications claimed there were 39 vacancies for posts including speech therapy staff and mortuary attendants. Applicants were allegedly asked to pay ₹300 as an application fee.
The fake advertisements also carried references to both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments in the same notification, raising suspicion about their authenticity.
Hospital warns job seekers against fraud
Gandhi Hospital Superintendent Professor Vani said the hospital was not conducting any regular, contract or outsourcing recruitment at present. She said the fraud came to light after several unemployed youth visited the hospital on Monday seeking details about the notifications.
She urged the public not to trust fake social media clips and advertisements related to hospital recruitment. Vani said complaints had already been lodged with cyber crime police and Secunderabad Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakshita Krishnamurthy regarding the fake notifications.
She appealed to unemployed youth to remain alert and avoid falling victim to online fraudsters.
