Hyderabad: 64 held for gambling and roosterfights at Moinabad farmhouse

64 Arrested In Gambling, Roosterfights Raid At Moinabad Farmhouse

Hyderabad: The Special Operation Team (SOT) of Rajendranagar police and Moinabad police jointly conducted a raid on a farmhouse for organising and participating in a casino and cockfighting in Tholkatta locality of Moinabad late Tuesday night.

During the raid, the police teams arrested 64 persons and seized 46 knives for cockfighting, betting coins and cards, 55 cars, 64 smartphones, 84 roosters and cash amounting to Rs 30,59,620. The police personnel also confiscated poker chips and other gambling materials from the location.

It is said the casino and roosterfights were allegedly run by a well-organized gang. They had turned the farmhouse into a high-stakes gambling hub. Police have launched an investigation to expose the network behind the illegal activities at the farm house and are expected to take further action against those involved.

Meanwhile, the Moinabad police have registered a case under various sections against the accused persons. Further details are awaited.
