Anirudh’s concert causes heavy traffic jam at gachibowli

HYDERABAD: Traffic movement slowed on the busy stretch between IIIT Junction and Gachibowli signal on Saturday as large crowds gathered for a music concert by singer Anirudh in the area, traffic police said.
Officials said vehicular flow remained sluggish along key junctions in the IT corridor, with queues of vehicles reported near the concert venue. Commuters travelling towards Financial District and surrounding tech hubs faced delays during peak hours.
Commuters experience delays on major connecting roads
Traffic congestion also affected feeder roads linking Gachibowli with Kondapur and Hitec City. Authorities warned that traffic density could increase further as the event progresses and dispersal begins later in the evening.
Police personnel were deployed at major intersections to regulate movement and facilitate smoother traffic flow. Public transport users were also advised to factor in additional travel time.
Advisory issued to minimise inconvenience to road users
Traffic police urged motorists to plan alternate routes, start early and strictly follow diversion instructions issued on the ground. Drivers were advised to maintain lane discipline and avoid unnecessary halts near entry and exit points of the venue.
Authorities appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic personnel and ensure safe driving amid the congestion.
