Future City Gets Additional 301 Acres in Mucherla
HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has initiated the acquisition of an additional 301 acres for the Bharat Future City project near Mucherla village in Kandukur mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
The land will be earmarked for offices of multinational companies. Officials decided to acquire the additional land to support planned corporate investments in the upcoming city.
Land acquisition process begins
The Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) recently sought 301 acres from the government. Following the request, senior officials assigned land acquisition responsibilities to the Ranga Reddy district administration.
Revenue authorities issued a land acquisition notification on May 28. Officials are preparing to acquire the land after conducting a gram sabha.
Landowners and farmers whose private patta lands fall within the proposed acquisition area are expected to receive compensation of up to ₹82 lakh per acre.
Corporate demand drives expansion
The government initially planned to develop Future City across 14,000 acres. However, the requirement has increased following investment commitments secured after the Telangana Rising-2027 summit held last year.
Several corporate companies have signed agreements to establish operations in Future City. As a result, TGIIC officials have estimated that an additional 1,000 acres may be required to meet future demand.
