Former Maoist Leader Devi Secures LAWCET Rank 349

Telangana : Former Maoist leader Tippiri Tirupati, popularly known as Devi, secured Rank 349 in the five-year law course entrance examination.

The results of the Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET) were released on Thursday. Devi scored 57 marks and secured the rank.

Ex-Maoist clears law entrance examination after surrender

Devi surrendered before authorities in late February this year. He had earlier studied Intermediate (MPC) at the Government Junior College in Koratla during 1980–82.

Devi awaits Intermediate examination results

As one subject remained incomplete, he obtained special permission from the Intermediate Board and appeared for the Second Year Intermediate Telugu examination on May 13. The results are yet to be announced.

With an interest in pursuing legal education, Devi appeared for the entrance examination and qualified for admission to the five-year law course.
