Former IPS V K Singh threatened outside Hyderabad home

HYDERABAD: A late-night incident outside the residence of former IPS officer V K Singh in the Jubilee Hills police station limits triggered concern in the city. Singh’s staff lodged a complaint with the police.
The complaint said that on the night of December 30, a man identified as Tarbeez created a nuisance outside the house after road barricades were placed due to ongoing road construction, blocking traffic.
Gate damaged, weapon snatching attempt alleged
According to the complaint, Tarbeez banged on the gate and allegedly tried to attack the residence. When staff attempted to stop him, he allegedly tried to snatch a weapon from security personnel.
Threats issued, police register case
The accused allegedly threatened Singh, saying he would “come with 500 people” to the house. Jaswant, who was on personal security duty for Singh, filed the complaint at Jubilee Hills police station.
Police registered a case and said an inquiry is under way. Officers said all angles of the incident are being examined.
