Food items worth Rs. 21,893 seized from Arambham in Madhapur
Madhapur: A task force from the Telangana Commissioner of Food Safety conducted surprise inspections on December 11, 2024, at two restaurants in the Madhapur area. The raided establishments were Bejawada Bhojanam in Jubilee Hills and Arambham (Millet Express Food Pvt Ltd) in Madhapur.
Bejawada Bhojanam in Jubilee Hills
During the raid at Bejawada Bhojanam in Jubilee Hills, multiple violations of food safety regulations were found. The restaurant did not display its FSSAI License in a visible location.
Furthermore, there were no water analysis reports or medical fitness records for food handlers available, and a FoSTaC-trained supervisor was not present on-site.
The inspection also revealed poor hygiene conditions in the kitchen. A rusty iron knife was in use, and the refrigerators were dirty, with prepared food items stored incorrectly. Although some food items were covered, they were not properly labeled.
Food safety officials found an expired liter of toned milk and they discarded it. Sprouted and spoiled potatoes were also thrown away. Additionally, vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items were stored together in the fridge. The storage practices were disorganized, and the FIFO (First In, First Out) system was not followed.
Task force team has conducted inspections in Madhapur area on 11.12.2024.

Arambham (Millet Express Food Pvt Ltd)
During a recent inspection at Arambham (Millet Express Food Pvt Ltd), several violations were uncovered. The establishment lacked a prominently displayed FSSAI License and maintained improperly kept refrigerators that contained food waste.
The kitchenโs congestion was also noted as a major obstacle to effective cleaning. In addition, food items valued at Rs. 21,893 and 1 kg of expired Besan were seized for failing to comply with labeling regulations. Furthermore, food in the refrigerators, while covered, was not appropriately labeled, mirroring issues found in other establishments.
