Food safety notice issued to Dasara restaurant in Nagole after inspection

HYDERABAD: Food Safety Officers of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) issued a notice to Dasara restaurant, a unit of Flagship Vibes Private Limited in Nagole, after a joint inspection on July 3, 2026, found multiple food safety and hygiene violations.
Multiple hygiene lapses found during inspection
The inspection was conducted following directions from the MMC Commissioner. Officials found a damaged and slippery kitchen floor with waterlogging, uncovered food exposed to dust and flies, and flies across the kitchen.
The team also found expired food items, including masala papad and mustard sauce, which were discarded during the inspection. Dust accumulation was observed on the kitchen walls and ceiling, while the refrigerator was found to be unclean.

Expired food discarded; notice served
Officials noted that several food items were unlabelled and food waste had been left scattered on the floor without timely disposal.
The inspection also found that food handlers were not wearing aprons or gloves. The establishment did not produce a Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) certificate or a water analysis report.
Following the inspection, officials issued a notice to the restaurant. The establishment received a hygiene rating of 65%.
MMC said it would continue regular food safety inspections and take action to ensure safe food, proper hygiene and protection of public health.
