Flyadeal launches daily Hyderabad–Riyadh direct flights

HYDERABAD: Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier flyadeal has entered the Indian aviation market by launching daily direct flights between Hyderabad and Riyadh. GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) welcomed the airline’s inaugural service on Monday, marking flyadeal’s debut operations in India.

The inaugural flight was received by GHIAL Chief Executive Officer Kadir Kadiravan, senior airport officials, flyadeal Chief Commercial Officer Lloyd Miskwitta and Head of Airport Operations Abdulrahman Alrashid. The new service is expected to strengthen Hyderabad’s position as an international aviation hub while expanding air connectivity between India and Saudi Arabia.

Growing Middle East connectivity

flyadeal will operate daily Airbus A320 services on the Riyadh–Hyderabad–Riyadh route. GHIAL said the addition reinforces Hyderabad Airport’s strategy of expanding international airline partnerships despite challenges facing the global aviation sector.

Welcoming the airline, Kadir Kadiravan said Hyderabad was pleased to become flyadeal’s first destination in India. “The new direct Riyadh service significantly strengthens our Middle East connectivity and reflects Hyderabad Airport’s growing importance as a global aviation hub. It will benefit the Indian diaspora, business travellers and tourists while creating new opportunities for trade and tourism between the two regions,” he said.

Hyderabad Airport currently serves 76 domestic and 24 international destinations. GHIAL said the new route would help meet increasing demand from business travellers, non-resident Indians and leisure passengers travelling between India and Saudi Arabia.

Flexible travel options

The airline has scheduled flights at convenient timings to provide seamless onward connections through its domestic Saudi Arabian network, allowing passengers to travel easily to multiple cities across the Kingdom.

Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, continues to expand under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programme and remains the country’s political, economic and cultural centre. The city is emerging as a key destination for Indian business and leisure travellers.

flyadeal said it will introduce its low-cost travel model in India with fare options including fly, fly+ and flyMax, enabling passengers to choose services based on their travel requirements. The packages offer options such as checked baggage, seat selection, travel changes and cancellation flexibility.
