Hyderabad: A fire broke out at the Sattva Elixir building in Madhapur, opposite Inorbit Mall, early this morning, on December 21, 2024. The blaze, which began around 6 a.m., affected the fourth and fifth floors of the building, causing thick smoke to engulf the area.

A spokesperson for the Sattva Group confirmed the fire and praised the response of their emergency team and the state fire department. “The fire was quickly detected and contained by our on-site emergency team,” the spokesperson said. “There were no injuries, and the situation is now under control.”

The spokesperson added, โ€œWe prioritize the safety of our employees and visitors, with robust fire safety measures in place, including regular drills and maintenance of fire suppression equipment.โ€

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and operations at Knowledge City are continuing as usual.

This fire follows a series of incidents in the city over the past few days. On December 19, a fire broke out in a paan shop opposite the Mahankali Taj Mahal Tri-Star Hotel in Secunderabad. The fire reportedly started when a lamp placed near a deity caught fire. Locals alerted firefighters, who quickly extinguished the flames. No injuries were reported.

Also on December 19, a massive fire occurred at a furniture workshop in Madannapet, across from the Old Eidgah. The fire, which began at Super Furniture Works, spread to three adjacent shops. Firefighters from multiple stations responded, and the blaze was brought under control after three hours. No injuries were reported.

Earlier, on December 6, a fire at Malakpet Metro Station caused panic when a bike parked under the station caught fire, sending thick smoke into the area. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, and traffic congestion led authorities to advise commuters to avoid the station during firefighting operations.

On November 30, a fire broke out at the Prism Club and Kitchen in Gachibowli. Although no injuries were reported, the incident caused panic in the building. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, but the cause remains unclear.
