Fire near Musi riverbed slows traffic from Chaderghat Circle to X Roads
HYDERABAD: Vehicular movement slowed on the stretch from Chaderghat Circle towards Chaderghat X Roads after a fire broke out at the Musi riverbed behind Chaderghat police station on Friday.
According to Hyderabad Traffic Police, personnel from the Malakpet traffic police station were deployed to regulate traffic and assist commuters as firefighting operations continued.
The fire reportedly started at a decoration store near the Musi river and spread to around 10 nearby warehouses. Thick smoke engulfed the area, affecting visibility and slowing traffic movement.
Four fire engines were pressed into service to contain the blaze. Fire and emergency services personnel were battling the flames at the time of filing this report.
There were no immediate reports of casualties. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
