Fire Near Journalist Colony Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: A fire erupted in a parking lot opposite the Journalist Colony bus stop in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, on June 25 (Tuesday). No injuries were reported.

The fire caused thick smoke to billow, prompting panic among software employees working in the nearby company. However, all employees evacuated the scene safely.

Upon receiving information about the blaze, the fire department personnel arrived swiftly and were working to extinguish the flames.

According to reports, the fire originated in a space being used for illegal waste storage. The illegal use of the parking lot for waste disposal and the potential lack of proper fire safety measures in nearby buildings raises serious questions about compliance with regulations.

Local authorities have not yet commented on the cause of the fire or any potential violations.

It was learned that another major fire accident erupted in Hyderabad, on the outskirts of Hyderabad near Shadnagar, on April 26 (Friday). A massive fire broke out in a pharma company, Allwyn Pharma, located near the city.

It is estimated there were at least 300 people present at the time of the fire accident in the building. In the videos circulating on social media about the fire accident, it can be seen that people are trying to jump through the building to survive, using ropes. According to the sources, Unable to bear the heat, at least four people jumped through the building and sustained injuries. Some other workers had also tried to get out of the building with the help of a ladder. The huge flames have also resulted in excess smoke, suffocating the residents.

Meanwhile, rescue operations are still underway, and at least five fire tenders were roped in at the location. According to the reports, 50 more workers are still trapped inside the building. However, there is no official information on the number of casualties.

The fire tender vehicles, which are pressed into action, are continuously trying to put off the flames and rescue those who are trapped. The rescue operation is being overseen by senior fire officials, among others. It is also estimated that crores of property might have been gutted into flames.

Fire Accidents on rise

In recent times, in this summer season, fire accidents have been on the rise. Earlier this week, a fire broke out in a plastic godown in Balapur. Two fire engines were brought in to control the situation. One month ago, there was another major fire accident in an oil godown in Tolichowki near Pista House. The oil spillage has also disturbed traffic and resulted in traffic jams of around four kilometers.
