Fire destroys cotton godown in Pudur Village, Medchal
Medchal: A major fire broke out at a cotton godown in Pudur village, Medchal, on November 30, 2024, causing the building to collapse. The fire, which started at the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) godown, spread rapidly due to the highly flammable cotton stored inside.
According to the reports, thick smoke filled the area as the fire intensified. Firefighters responded quickly to the scene and are working to bring the blaze under control.
However, workers inside the godown noticed the fire in time and managed to escape, preventing any casualties. Officials estimate the damage to be several crores of rupees.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
