Fire at Attapur Suzuki service centre guts three cars, 90 families evacuated

HYDERABAD: A fire broke out at the Adarsh Automobile Suzuki showroom service centre near pillar number 185 in Attapur on Monday, gutting three cars parked inside the premises.
According to officials, the fire originated in the scrap godown of the service centre. At the time of the incident, more than 50 vehicles were parked inside the facility.
Local residents noticed flames and smoke billowing from the premises and alerted the fire department. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control using two fire tenders, preventing it from spreading further.
As a precaution, police evacuated around 90 families from nearby apartment complexes. No injuries were reported.
Colony residents alleged that the fire occurred due to negligence by the showroom management. However, the showroom manager told police that the fire might have been started deliberately by unknown persons.
Attapur police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage from the area to ascertain the exact cause of the fire.
