Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough, the Film Nagar Police apprehended two notorious house burglars on July 5, during a surprise frisking initiative launched by the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad just two weeks ago.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Syed Ali Huzaifa (20) and Mohd Ajmal Sharief alias Nadeem (19), both residents of Asif Nagar, Hyderabad. The receiver, Mohd Abid Biyabani (19), hails from Bahadurpura, Hyderabad.

The recovered stolen items include 30 tulas of gold, 45 tulas of silver, two cell phones, $100 USD, a motorcycle belonging to the accused, five wristwatches, and other items.

Hyderabad burglary arrests

The incident unfolded yesterday, July 5th, at 6:30 pm during a “Disarming Drill” conducted at the Modern Cafe in Brindavan Colony, Towlichoki. The Film Nagar police team, led by Sub-Inspector Srikanth and Constable Janardhan, noticed two suspicious individuals attempting to flee on a motorcycle. They swiftly chased and apprehended the suspects.

Upon interrogation and fingerprint analysis, it was revealed that the duo were responsible for over 10 house burglaries across various police stations in the city. They have confessed to their involvement in all ten cases, leading to the recovery of 30 tulas of gold ornaments linked to seven of these burglaries.

The recovered stolen property included items from six cases in Film Nagar, two in Asifnagar, one in Gudimalkapur, and one in Narsingi. Following their confessions, police were able to track down and arrest a habitual receiver of stolen goods, Md Abid Biyani, who was found in possession of a portion of the stolen property.

The arrests were made under the supervision of SM Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Zone. The investigation team comprised S. M. Srinivasulu (SHO), N. Jayaram (Detective Inspector and Investigation Officer), SI J. Srikanth Reddy (DSI), HC-2923 V. Janardhan Naik, and PC-5456 B Harish Kumar of Film Nagar Police Station.

The swift action, exceptional interrogation skills, and successful recovery operation by the police team have been commended by their superiors.
