HYDRAA demolition drive: Clears encroachments in Film Nagar

Film Nagar encroachments cleared Hydraa

Jubilee Hills: Following complaints from local residents, Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has successfully removed encroachments at the Film Nagar road junction, paving the way for road widening in the area.

The action came after residents reported unauthorized construction encroaching on the main road at the Film Nagar Road intersection. HYDRAA officials conducted a thorough inspection of the Film Nagar layout to verify these complaints.

During the inspection, HYDRAA officials confirmed two significant encroachments, an unauthorized structure on the main road and a house fence that had extended beyond its permitted boundaries. Taking immediate action, HYDRAA demolished both the encroaching fence and a rake shed that had been constructed on the road.

Road widening in Film Nagar after encroachment removal

“The structures had reportedly been present in the area for approximately 15 years, according to local residents, who expressed satisfaction with the road widening that resulted from the removal of these encroachments” said HYDRAA in a statement.

HYDRA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath has taken steps to ensure quick rehabilitation of the affected area. Further Ranganath contacted GHMC Khairatabad Zonal Commissioner Anuraag Jayanti and suggested for immediate road construction at the cleared site. The road construction work is expected to be completed within two days, added the statement.
