HYDERABAD: A 16-year-old boy was killed in a road accident in Falaknuma on Sunday morning after a Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) vehicle hit the motorcycle he was riding, police said.

The victim was identified as Mohammed Abdul Salman, a resident of Misrigunj. He was travelling on a motorcycle with his friend Rahman when the GHMC vehicle rammed into the bike near Red Rose Mart, police said.

Salman sustained serious injuries and was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment, where he succumbed during treatment.

Based on a complaint, Falaknuma police registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
