Falaknuma police bust illegal three-card gambling, six arrested

HYDERABAD: Falaknuma police raided Fathima Nagar on January 30, 2026 and busted an illegal three-card gambling operation.
Police caught six persons while they were playing the game, officials said.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Baba, Mohammed Chand, Khadar Ali, Mohd Mahboob, Chand Pasha and Shaik Rasheed. All of them are residents of Fathima Nagar in the Falaknuma area.
During the raid, police seized โน9,960 in cash and a set of playing cards from the spot.

Police said Mohd Baba organised the gambling activity to make easy money. He admitted his role during questioning, officials added.
Police registered a case as Crime No. 51/2026 under Sections 3 and 4 of the Telangana Gaming Act. Further investigation is in progress.
