Falaknuma’s Govt Junior College is in bad shape: BRS student leader

Hyderabad: Mir Qurram Ali, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Vidyardhi Vibhagham coordinator, has voiced concern over the lack of basic needs for students at a government college in Hyderabad.
The BRS student leader paid a surprise visit to the Government Junior College Falaknuma in Old City and carried out the inspection of the infrastructure in the college. He also interacted with the students who told him about the infrastructure-related issues they were facing in the college.
Speaking to media persons, Ali said he was shocked to see a college with nearly 1,200 students comprising of boys and girls who are made to sit on the floor due to lack of desks. He said recently the Telangana government released funds to improve the facilities at the educational institutions but he didn’t see the funds were properly utilized to fulfil the basic needs like proper seating and providing hygienic conditions for the students at this college.
The BRS leader added that the junior college needs immediate attention and the state government must take up the required measures to address the students’ issue. He blamed the District Education Officer (DEO) and the Mandal Education Officer (MEO) for not doing enough to improve the substandard facilities in the college.
