Excise police seize 2.3 kg of ganja in Balanagar, one arrested
Hyderabad: The Excise Special Task Force (STF) seized 2.3 kg of ganja and arrested one person in Balanagar on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, following a tip-off about its illegal sale. The raid was conducted under the Saroornagar excise police station limits.
The arrested individual, Mohammad Soyab, was caught transporting the ganja on a scooter, which was intercepted during a routine check.
A case has been registered against three other suspects Syed Zahingir, Mohammad Bubra, and Mohammad Javed, who are currently absconding. Along with the ganja, two mobile phones and the scooter were seized.
The operation was led by Task Force team leader Nandyala Anji Reddy, with support from CI MPR Chandasrekar, Sub-Inspector Sai Kiran Reddy, Head Constables Bhaskar Reddy, Azeem, Ahmed, and Constables Prakash, Rakesh, Mahesh, Ameed, Khalid, Rahul, Vasu, and Prabhu.
Excise Enforcement Director V.B. Kamalasan Reddy commended the team for their efforts in apprehending the accused and recovering the ganja.
