Ex-Information Commissioner urges CM Revanth Reddy to save 50-year-old Amla tree in Gandhinagar
GANDHINAGAR: Former Central Information Commissioner Madabhushi Sridhar urges to save tree, he wrote to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday, urging him to save a 50-year-old Amla tree at Jagadamba Apartments in Gandhinagar, Hyderabad.

According to reports, some executive leaders of Jagadamba Apartments, which comprises more than 54 houses, instructed a contractor to remove around 40 trees, leaving only one Amla tree untouched.
In his letter appealing to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Madabhushi Sridhar said, “The Amla tree here is 50 years old. Some executive leaders of Jagadamba Apartments, owning more than 54 houses, instructed a contractor to remove around 40 trees. Only one Usiri tree remains. Now, the contractor, under orders from the president, is set to axe it down. Save at least this tree.”
Action Promised: GHMC Takes Notice, Initiates Inquiry into Tree Removal Incident
Responding to Madabhushi Sridhar’s request, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has instructed the concerned department to investigate the matter and address it as soon as possible.
