Residents to stage peaceful protest against proposed graveyard at Erragadda
HYDERABAD: Residents and flat owners of Brigade Citadel, Vasavi Brundavanam and Kalpataru Residency in Erragadda have announced a peaceful and democratic protest against a proposed graveyard project in the area.
The protest will be held at 9.00 IST on Thursday, according to a statement issued by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) Erragadda to Hitech City Colonies Association.
Residents flag zoning and public health issues
In the statement circulated to print, electronic and national media organisations, the residents said the protest aims to safeguard residential zoning norms, public health, safety and the legitimate rights of people living in the neighbourhood.
They urged media representatives to attend the protest and highlight what they described as the genuine concerns and voices of local residents affected by the proposed project.
The association said the demonstration would be peaceful and within democratic norms.
