Engineering student killed in Outer Ring Road accident in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A tragic road accident on the Outer Ring Road service road near Nanakaramguda claimed the life of a 21-year-old engineering student and injured another on Monday evening.
Ireni Shivani, a engineering student from CBIT Gandipet, was returning from an SSC alumni meet in Nizamabad.After reaching Gachibowli, her friend Venkat Reddy was dropping her to her hostel on his motorcycle.
The accident occurred near the AmmaVari temple at Nanakramguda Rotary when a car with registration number TG 09 3301, allegedly driven recklessly by Yedlapati Sri Kalash (19), a student from Khanamet, Serilingampally, hit their motorcycle from behind.
Shivani suffered severe head trauma and injuries to her left leg and other parts. Venkat Reddy sustained injuries to his legs, hands, and other areas. Both were rushed to Kondapur Government Hospital, where doctors pronounced Shivani dead on arrival. Venkat Reddy is currently undergoing treatment.
Shivani, a hostel resident in Gandipet, had traveled to Nizam Sagar, Nizamabad, earlier that day to attend her SSC alumni meet. The accident occurred during her return journey to the hostel.
Gachibowli police are investigating the incident.Further investigation is underway.
