Eesha Rebba files complaint over online abuse

HYDERABAD: Tollywood actor Eesha Rebba on Wednesday lodged a complaint against an unidentified social media handler for allegedly posting objectionable comments against her. The case was registered at the Banjara Hills police station.
Complaint over online harassment during film promotions
In her complaint, Rebba said the issue was of serious concern as she was subjected to online harassment and abuse during the promotional activities of a film project.
Obscene and defamatory comment alleged
“During the course of promotions, an obscene, sexually explicit and defamatory comment was posted on a public social media page by an individual operating a meme or social media account,” the actor said.
Case registered under BNS and IT Act
Police registered a case under Section 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act.
