SCR to run MMTS special trains for Easter festival at Calvary Temple in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: In view of the Easter festival celebrations at Calvary Temple, Hyderabad, the South Central Railway (SCR) will operate three special MMTS train services on Sunday, April 20, 2025, to manage the expected rush of passengers.
The details of the special services are as follows:
1. Hyderabad to Lingampalli
Date: April 20, 2025
Departure: Hyderabad at 03:15 a.m.
Arrival: Lingampalli at 04:05 a.m.
2. Falaknuma to Lingampalli
Date: April 20, 2025
Departure: Falaknuma at 02:30 a.m.
Halt: Secunderabad (03:05–03:10 a.m.)
Arrival: Lingampalli at 04:00 a.m.
3. Lingampalli to Falaknuma
Date: April 20, 2025
Departure: Lingampalli at 02:50 p.m.
Halt: Secunderabad (03:30–03:35 p.m.)
Arrival: Falaknuma at 04:30 p.m.
Easter, also known as Resurrection Sunday, marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ and is one of the most significant events in the Christian calendar. The festival draws large gatherings, especially at prominent worship sites like Calvary Temple. These special train services are intended to facilitate smooth travel for worshippers attending early morning and afternoon services.
