EAGLE Force nabs three ganja peddlers on trains, seizes 8.1kg contraband

HYDERABAD: Three held on trains; 8.1kg ganja seized by EAGLE Force
The RNCC Railways unit of the EAGLE Force, Telangana, in coordination with the Railway Police, apprehended three ganja peddlers in two separate operations on moving trains and seized 8.1kg of ganja.
Two interstate transporters caught on Konark Express
Acting on credible information, teams detained Muna Prusty and Tikash Barik, both residents of Ganjam district in Odisha, on board the Konark Express and recovered 7kg of ganja from them.
According to officials, Prusty procured the contraband in Odisha and was transporting it to Mumbai for sale. The duo boarded the train at Baharampur with the intent to smuggle the substance.
Another passenger held with 1.1kg on LTT Express
In a separate case, RNCC Railways teams detained M. Mohan Kumar Vijay during a routine check on the LTT Express and seized 1.1kg of ganja.
Officials said he was travelling to Patancheru for a job search and confessed that he purchased the contraband from Laxmipur near Rayagada, Odisha, for personal consumption.
EAGLE urges public vigilance
The Telangana Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) reiterated its commitment to curbing drug trafficking and appealed to citizens to remain alert and report suspicious activities.
