Dundigal burglars loot two locked houses

HYDERABAD: Unidentified burglars broke into two locked houses and decamped with gold ornaments and cash in Dundigal police station limits on Wednesday midnight.

Thieves target locked houses in one locality

According to police, N. Ravi, a resident of Bowrampet near the bus station, had locked his house and gone with his wife to visit their daughter in Nizampet on Wednesday. During the night, unidentified persons allegedly broke open the lock of his house and stole 3.5 tolas of gold ornaments and ₹35,000 in cash.

Cash stolen from second house

In the same locality, burglars also broke open the lock of the house belonging to L. Bhoomaiah Goud and stole ₹1.30 lakh kept in a cupboard.

Police said the accused also attempted to break the locks of two other nearby houses before fleeing.

Based on complaints lodged by the victims, Dundigal police registered a case and launched an investigation.
