Drinking water leak on Manikonda Road sparks issues over waste & safety

Hyderabad: Residents of Manikonda have raised concerns about a persistent drinking water leakage on the main road opposite Sunder Gardens, which has been ongoing for several days. The leak is wasting valuable drinking water and causing significant inconvenience to commuters, particularly motorcyclists. The water pooling on the road poses a risk of skidding, especially when bikers brake suddenly.
Local resident and social activist Maryala Ajay Kumar first brought the issue to attention through a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). His post highlighted the ongoing water wastage: “Drinking water leakage on the main road opp Sunder Gardens on Manikonda main road, wastage of water daily. Please address.”

The official response stated, “Your complaint has been successfully registered with token number 1213. We will forward it to the concerned officials and rectify the issue as soon as possible.”
