Fact Check: Is Telangana CM registered as a voter in two constituencies?

Telangana Fact Check debunks viral claim that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has voter registrations in two constituencies.

Claim

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has voting rights in two different locations. His name is allegedly registered in the electoral rolls of two different Assembly constituencies falling under two separate Parliamentary constituencies.

Fact

The Nagar Kurnool District Collector and District Election Officer (DEO) have clarified that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s name is not registered as a voter in Achampet Assembly constituency or anywhere else in Nagar Kurnool district.

The Telangana Government and the Telangana Fact Check team have dismissed as false the viral claim that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has voting rights in two different constituencies.

A Google search led us to official statements and media reports quoting the Nagar Kurnool District Collector and District Election Officer (DEO), who clarified that, as of July 14, 2026, Revanth Reddy is not registered as a voter in Achampet Assembly constituency or anywhere else in Nagar Kurnool district. Since there is no voter registration in his name there, officials said the question of issuing or distributing Enumeration Forms under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) does not arise. The @IPRTelangana department also shared the official clarification.

The Telangana Fact Check department reiterated that reports claiming the Chief Minister has two votes are completely false. It stated that there is no case of double voting or dual enrolment involving Revanth Reddy. According to official electoral records, Revanth Reddy (EPIC No. TES0274035) is registered as a voter only in Kodangal Assembly constituency.

Verdict

False. The claim that Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has voting rights in two different locations is incorrect. Official records confirm that he is registered only in Kodangal Assembly constituency, and not anywhere in Nagar Kurnool district.
