Hyderabad: Popular Tollywood director Harish Shankar made a dynamic appearance on the sets of Telugu Indian Idol Season 3 to promote his upcoming action-packed entertainer Mr Bachchan, which stars Raviteja and Bhagyashri.

During the high-octane episodes 17 and 18, Harish Shankar unveiled the film’s fifth single, a captivating track featuring the film’s lead pair. The director surprised the audience by requesting the show’s host, Sreeram Chandra, to perform the song live with Bhagyashree.

Beyond the music, Shankar offered interesting insights into Mr Bachchan, revealing that Raviteja will showcase his singing prowess in the film. He also expressed keen interest in collaborating with Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Raviteja for a multi-starrer and shared his aspiration to work with superstar Mahesh Babu.

Reflecting on his career journey, Shankar acknowledged that he failed as a director of Mirapakay while lauding music director S. Thaman for his exceptional work on the film’s soundtrack. The director exuded confidence as he hinted that Ustad Bhagat Singh would surpass the blockbuster success of his previous film, Gabbar Singh.

Harish Shankar, a renowned Indian film director and screenwriter, was born on March 31, 1979, in Dharmapuri, Telangana. He is primarily recognised for his work in Telugu cinema and theater. His directorial debut, “Shock” (2006), was produced by Ram Gopal Varma and it marked the beginning of his successful career. Subsequently, his films “Mirapakay,” “Gabbar Singh,” “Ramayya Vasthavayya,” and “DJ Duvvada Jagannadham” have received both critical acclaim and commercial success.
