No such announcement has been made by the Telangana government.
The viral claim is false. The Telangana government has not issued any Government Order (GO) banning hijras in the state.
A Google search using relevant keywords found no such GO or official announcement. If the government had taken such a major decision, it would have received widespread media coverage.
Further verification showed that GO No. 69 mentioned in the viral posts has no connection to any ban on hijras.
However, some villages in Telangana, including Bada Bheemgal and Ravutla in Nizamabad district, reportedly passed local Village Development Committee (VDC) resolutions restricting the entry of hijras following complaints from villagers.
Therefore, the claim that the Telangana government issued a statewide ban is false.
