Fact Check: Did Hyderabad airport announce new vacancies?

Listen to Story
Viral post falsely claiming recruitment at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.

Claim:
Jobs are being offered at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Fact:
The viral claim is false.

A viral recruitment advertisement circulating online claims that jobs are available at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

When we clicked on the link provided in the viral advertisement, it redirected us to a website named ‘WBPUBLIBNET’. The webpage carried airport-related information along with generic details about the aviation industry and recruitment claims. It also displayed posts suggesting vacancies in multiple organisations and encouraged users to apply.

However, the website has no connection with GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, which manages the Hyderabad airport. There is no indication that the portal is associated with the GMR Group, Airports Authority of India, GHIAL, or any official airline recruitment division.

The website appears to publish job-related articles using the names of genuine government institutions, airports and police departments to gain credibility.

We contacted officials at Shamshabad Airport over the phone. They clarified that no such recruitment process is currently being conducted. Officials advised the public to rely only on the official website and verified social media handles for employment-related information.

Therefore, the viral claim about recruitment at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is false.
