Hyderabad: Jr NTR is known as a Man of Masses for a reason and his crowd pulling prowess is quite well known to the people. The buzz around the pan-India star’s upcoming ‘Devara: Part 1’ began ever since the makers unveiled the first look of the film. This ignited a frenzy of excitement among fans and the craze boiled over before the start of the grand pre-release event at Novotel in Hyderabad on Sunday evening.

Due to the adverse weather conditions, the makers had organized an indoor event. As a large number of fans turned up exceeding the capacity of the venue, chaos ensued which forced the organizers to cancel the event. A video of chaos from the venue is going viral on social media which shows broken glass on the floor and vandalism at the location. The excited fans tried to force their way into the venue and the glass door was broken due to overcrowding. As per reports, Jr NTR was about to leave for the event but the organizers advised him not to attend the event as they were unable to manage the huge crowd.

Legendary directors (SS Rajamouli, Prashanth Neel and Trivikram) were expected to grace the indoor event. Koratala Siva’s directorial ‘Devara’ is scheduled for global release on September 27. The film marks Janhvi Kapoor’s debut in the Telugu industry. Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan will be seen in a key role in the upcoming movie.

The Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s Devara has set a milestone in terms of pre-release bookings. The film has been recorded as the fastest movie as it sold more than 50,000 tickets for its premiere shows earning over Rs.12 crore in a span of just eight days in the US. The pre-release buzz has raised expectations from Tollywood fans.

Koratala Siva’s directorial ‘Devara’ is touted to be an epic action saga. The film is set against the coastlands which has become a hub for smuggling activities. The film’s trailer and songs indicate that it is going to be a visual feast for the viewers.
