DEO inspects voter roll revision in Malakpet, stresses complete household coverage

HYDERABAD: The District Election Officer (DEO) and Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), on Wednesday inspected the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 at Polling Stations Nos. 274 and 283 in Chanchalguda Chowni under the Malakpet Assembly constituency to review the progress of the house-to-house enumeration.
Focus on complete and accurate enumeration
During the inspection, the DEO interacted with residents and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to assess the progress of the exercise and verify that it was being carried out in accordance with the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines.
He emphasised that every household must be covered and that all eligible electors should receive Enumeration Forms to facilitate their inclusion in the electoral roll.

Directions to ensure inclusive electoral rolls
The DEO directed field staff to carry out the revision exercise with diligence, accuracy and transparency. He instructed officials to ensure that no eligible elector is left out and that the electoral rolls remain accurate, comprehensive and inclusive.
