JEI handler sent bomb videos to Umar Nabi: probe

The Delhi blast investigation has revealed a new angle, with agencies identifying 42 bomb-making videos allegedly sent from Pakistan to accused Umar Nabi, who was driving the car at the time of the explosion.
JeM handler linked to video training module
Investigators said JeM handler Hanzullah sent the videos to help Nabi learn bomb assembly. The accused reportedly discussed operational plans on Telegram and used food terms as coded references.
Officials said explosive materials were labelled “biryani” and execution of attacks was referred to as a “daawat”.
Trail began after Nowgam posters surfaced
The inquiry began after Jaish-e-Mohammed posters appeared in Nowgam, Jammu & Kashmir, in October. Officers said the posters carried the name “Commander Hanzullah Bhai”.
Investigators said Hanzullah established contact with Muzammil Shakeel through Maulvi Irfan Ahmed of Shopian. Shakeel allegedly recruited Nabi and several other doctors, forming what officials called a white-collar terror module.
Shakeel is suspected to have moved explosive substances to the group and handed over the car used in the Delhi blast.
Doctors toured Turkiye to meet Syrian operative
The probe found that three accused doctors travelled to Turkiye in 2022, where the Pakistan handler arranged their meeting with a Syrian operative. Investigators said they discussed bomb-making and attack planning during the trip.
Officials said the module planned attacks in Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad, and prepared nearly 200 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) for high-profile targets.
Besides the vehicle used in the blast, the module allegedly purchased two additional cars for planned operations.
Faridabad police set up SIT on university links
Meanwhile, Faridabad police have formed a special investigation team to examine links between the arrested doctors and Al-Falah University.
