DCP counsels 69 rowdy sheeters of Falaknuma division

HYDERABAD: To strengthen public safety measures and deter repeat offences, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajendranagar Zone, conducted a counselling session for rowdy sheeters from the Falaknuma Division at Kalapathar police station on January 29, 2026.
Warning against repeat offences, disruption of communal harmony
A total of 69 rowdy sheeters from Kalapathar, Kamatipura, Falaknuma and Bahadurpura police stations were summoned for the session. The Deputy Commissioner of Police cautioned them to stay away from illegal activities and follow disciplined conduct in public life.
He said the police were maintaining close surveillance and warned that involvement in fresh offences would lead to immediate arrest and prosecution. Habitual offenders and those found disturbing communal harmony would face action under the Preventive Detention Act and externment orders, he added.
Senior police officers attend counselling session
The counselling programme was attended by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Falaknuma Division, and the station house officers of Kalapathar, Falaknuma and Bahadurpura police stations. The initiative forms part of preventive policing measures by the Hyderabad City Police to curb crime and maintain law and order.
