Dasara travels: Bus stations, railway stations in Hyderabad are teeming with people

Hyderabad: As the Bathukamma and Dasara vacations have started, people are seen heading to their home towns from Hyderabad. Several major bus stations including Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) and Jubilee Bus Station, Secunderabad were filled with people who were waiting to catch a bus to their native places.
With education institutions closed for the Dasara break, families with children were also seen rushing to Secunderabad, Nampally, Kacheguda and Lingampally railway stations to board the train.
TGSRTC runs special buses for Dasara
To meet the increased demand, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) is operating special buses for the entire festival season. The state transporter has set up several pick up points in Hyderabad. The outbound passengers can board these special buses from MGBS, JBS, LB Nagar, Uppal, Aramghar, Santosh Nagar and KPHB from October 1 to 15. These special buses will facilitate journeys from Hyderabad and Secunderabad to various locations within the state and other states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
Special trains for Dasara passengers
The South Central Railway has arranged special trains to clear the rush during Bathukamma and Dasara festivals. The railways have started 14 services of Kacheguda-Tirupati-Kacheguda train (Train No. 07063/07064).
According to the SCR notification, the services of the above train will be available on Tuesdays on October 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 and November 5 and 12 while the Tirupati-Kacheguda(Train No.07064 ) will be run on Wednesdays on these dates — October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 and November 6 and 13.
From Secunderabad Railway Stations, Secunderabad – Tirupati train services will be operated on Wednesdays and Fridays on October 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 and November 1, 6, 8, 13 and 15.
Train No. 07042 Tirupati-Secunderabad train services, originating from Tirupati, will be operated on Thursdays and Saturdays on October 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, 31 and November 2, 7, 9, 14 and 16.
