CSIR-IICT Director Dr D Srinivasa Reddy Bags Prestigious CRSI Silver Medal

HYDERABAD: Dr D Srinivasa Reddy, Director of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research–Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), has won the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) Silver Medal. The award recognises his outstanding contributions to chemical research and scientific leadership.
An internationally recognised organic chemist, Reddy has made major contributions to natural product synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery. His research has advanced chemical sciences and produced technologies with strong industrial and translational applications.
Reddy has received several prestigious national honours, including the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize and the J C Bose National Fellowship. He is also a Fellow of several leading Indian science academies.
During his career, Reddy has published more than 160 research papers and secured several patents. He has also developed technologies with industrial applications and actively contributes to several mission-mode projects of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
The Chemical Research Society of India presents the CRSI Silver Medal to scientists who demonstrate excellence and make sustained contributions to chemical sciences.
