Cyberabad Police Gears Up For Elections In Malkajgiri And Chevella

Malkajgiri: Cyberabad police gears up for the parliamentary elections with roughly around 7000 police force deployed for the election duties in seven parliamentary constituencies which fall in the Cyberabad commissionerate limits.

Around 6,000 Civil police force will be utilised with all ranks including Stipendiary Cadet Trainee police constables( SCTPCs). And 867 Armed forces will be used in routes and patrol in the areas during polling. A total of 13 companies of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) deployed in various places. Paramilitary CAPF is guarding two EVM storage points and 6 distribution and reception centres.Assistant commissioner of police(ACP) were designated to all the Assembly Constituencies for coordinating with AERO (Assistant Election Returning Officers) and other election authorities. Further National cadet corps’s (NCC‘s) help will be taken during elections for maintenance of line and discipline at polling stations, informed Cyberabad police in an official note.

Cyberabad commissionerate has a total 3209 Polling stations covering 1218 polling locations in Seven parliamentary constituencies including to major constituencies Chevella and Malkajgiri. Further identified 90 polling locations as critical.

Enforcement work

Total 23 Flying Squad Teams(FST) and 24 Static Surveillance Teams(SST) are working around the clock. The teams are organising random and surprise checks.Organizing Vehicle check-posts in static and dynamic mode at 22 places covering inter-district and bordering.

“So far Cyberabad police have booked 20 Model code of conduct(MCC) violation cases and seized over Ten and half crores cash in 120 cash seizures operations. In addition to that around 17468 Litres of liquor seized and 794 cases booked against the respondents. Further 1091 Non Bailable warrants(NBWs) are executed and concentrated to expedite long pending, election-related NBWs,” said Cyberabad police.

A total of 1069 persons bounded over in 659 cases during the recent assembly elections. 796 identified suspected trouble mongers were bound over after assembly elections. Total 910 licensed arms deposited with police, added Cyberabad police

Further police added that total polling locations are GEOtagged and 1218 identified locations are arranged with CC cameras to ensure free and fair elections.
