Cyberabad Police bust fake G.O. and illegal land deal racket; three arrested in Gandipet case

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Police have arrested three persons in connection with an alleged racket involving forged Government Orders (G.Os.), fake land documents and an illegal attempt to sell Government land in Gandipet village of Ranga Reddy district.
The case was registered at Narsingi police station as Crime No. 990/2026 following a complaint lodged on May 23, 2026, by Srinivas Reddy, Tahsildar of Gandipet mandal. The complaint alleged that fabricated Government Orders were created and circulated through WhatsApp groups and social media platforms, falsely claiming that Government land in Survey No. 18 of Gandipet village had been regularised and allotted to private individuals.
Police said five forged Government Order copies were circulated to support the claim.
During the investigation, police obtained search warrants from the court and conducted searches at the residences of Nimmala Venugopal, Nimmala Ramaswamy and Nimmala Rajesh. Officers seized bank passbooks, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), mobile phones and a laptop.
Family allegedly claimed rights over Government land
According to investigators, the children of late Dasarath — Nimmala Rajesh Goud, Nimmala Venugopal, Nimmala Ramaswamy and Manga — allegedly claimed possession of about 10 acres of Government poramboke land in Survey No. 18 of Gandipet village.
Police said the family had approached the High Court seeking relief over the land. However, their petitions were dismissed in October 2025.
Despite the court’s dismissal and the absence of any legal title or ownership, the accused allegedly entered into a conspiracy with Bolla Ramesh and Brahma Naidu to sell the land for ₹3.5 crore per acre by representing themselves as lawful owners.
Investigators said MoUs were executed between the parties as part of the proposed transaction.
Nearly ₹4 crore allegedly exchanged
The investigation revealed that members of the Nimmala family allegedly received nearly ₹4 crore from the prospective buyers in connection with the proposed land deal.
Police said the transaction was allegedly facilitated by Sunil, Radhakrishna and others, who are currently absconding.
Further inquiries found that the accused, along with Bolla Ramesh, Brahma Naidu, Sunil and Radhakrishna, allegedly arranged for forged Government Orders and fabricated documents to create the impression that the Government had regularised and allotted the 10-acre parcel in favour of the accused.
