Cyberabad police nab money-throwing influencer
Kukatpally: A 23-year-old Korapathi Vamshi alias Influencer Harsha who is facing multiple legal charges following videos depicting reckless behavior, including throwing money onto roads was arrested by the Kukatpally police of Cyberabad commissionerate on Friday.
After a video of a bike rider throwing money on roads went viral on social media Kukatpally police took a sumoto complaint from B.Ashok Kumar police constable of Kukatpally police station of Cyberabad commissionerate.
According to the complaint on Thursday while he was performing patrolling duty along with his subordinate Driver Raju, found a video on social media -Instagram- which was taken in the Kukatpally area.
Subsequently, he went to Kukatpally and enquired with surrounding people and came to know that “two months ago two male persons suddenly came to Kukatpally, JNTU by bullet bike and stopped the bike at Kukatpally metro station and pillion rider sprinkled money in the air, as a result, the road passers and vehicle riders crowded for collecting money and also traffic jammed”.
During the investigation, the complaint checked the Instagram account “its_me_power_” and noticed that the person promoting to join www.winbuzz.in* (Games) to earn money.
The Kukatpally police have registered a case against Harsha, charging him with reckless driving, causing a public nuisance, and wrongful restraint. The police apprehended the suspect 23-year-old Korapathi Vamshi modeling/making videos who sprinkled money in the air and arrested him and produced him before the court.
In further escalating his legal issues, Cyberabad police have registered a separate case against Harsha in the Santhnagar area.
