Cloud Kitchen Shut Over Expired Licence, Hygiene Violations in Cyberabad
HYDERABAD: Food safety officials have ordered the closure of a cloud kitchen run by Reddy Catering Services after uncovering multiple food safety and hygiene violations during an inspection at its Bagh Ameer facility on July 8, 2026.
The Cyberabad Commissionerate’s Food Safety team inspected Shree Dwaraka Grand, a cloud kitchen listed on Zomato. Inspectors found that the business continued to accept online orders despite operating with an expired Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) licence.
Officials also discovered expired butter and chana dal stored at the premises. They immediately discarded both items.
The inspection exposed several hygiene lapses. Inspectors found four to five cats inside the kitchen, a cockroach infestation, heavy fly activity, damaged kitchen flooring, and no hot-water sanitisation for utensils. The operator also failed to produce water quality testing reports.
However, officials confirmed that they did not find any stale cooked food during the inspection.
The Food Safety team directed the Food Business Operator (FBO) to shut the premises immediately. Officials said the kitchen can reopen only after it rectifies all deficiencies and fully complies with food safety standards.
The establishment scored just 28 out of 94 marks, or 30%, in the hygiene assessment.
The inspection formed part of the Cyberabad Commissionerate’s ongoing food safety enforcement drive under the campaign, “Safe Food. Better Hygiene. Healthier Cyberabad.”
