Cyberabad Food Safety Team Flags Hygiene Lapses At Siddique Khabab Centre

HYDERABAD: Food Safety officials from the Commissionerate of Food Safety’s CMC team found several hygiene and food storage violations during a routine inspection at Siddique Khabab Centre in Cyberabad.

The team found that the restaurant was not using any synthetic food colours. Food handlers were wearing hairnets, following basic hygiene practices.

However, inspectors found several issues inside the kitchen. Staff had not stored meat properly in the freezer. The wash area had stagnant water, worker washrooms were unhygienic, and flies were seen inside the premises.

Officials also found that workers were not sanitising utensils with hot water. The kitchen had limited space to store raw materials, and dustbins were overflowing and left uncovered.

The Food Business Operator (FBO) must fix these issues immediately. Officials said they will issue an Improvement Notice to ensure the restaurant follows food safety rules.

The outlet scored 46 out of 82 marks (57%) in the hygiene assessment carried out during the inspection.
